AUDIO: I need your support to build National Cathedral-Akufo Addo to Ghanaians in US

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appealed to Ghanaians in the United States and the diaspora to financially support his administration to put up the National Cathedral of Ghana.

Speaking at a well-attended Fundraising Dinner at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC, Nana Akufo-Addo reiterated the need for all Ghanaians in the diaspora to rally behind his noble idea and show their love for his administration by contributing financially to the intended landmark tourist attraction.

The president added:

The national cathedral will be a rallying cry for all Ghanaians to come together to worship and pray. It will also promote deep national conversations and become an iconic building for regional integration. I need your support to build it.

In his prepared remarks, the Chair of the board of trustees in charge of the project, Arch-Bishop Duncan-Williams advised Ghanaians not to misconstrue his role as an endorsement of any particular political party but rather it is part of doing God’s work.
