Kennedy Agyapong is no longer my friend – Kweku Baako reveals

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Junior has admitted Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong is no longer his friend.

Speaking on Metro TV Good Morning Ghana monitored by MyNewsGh.com, he said they were friends but failed to mention what may have caused their separation in the wake of the veteran journalist suing the lawmaker.

Our sources however indicate that the break in relationship between the two was as a result of fallout from Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Number 12 where the lawmaker was reported to have verbally attacked Mr. Baako.

This came to light when the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George who was a co-panelist on the show referred to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand as his bosom friend.

But in sharp response he asked “Whose friend? He is no longer my friend so don’t say he is my friend. I was asked this very question in court Tuesday. His lawyer asked me is Mr. Agyapong your friend and I said until recently yes. And I was asked to elaborate and I elaborated that until recently he is no longer my friend”.

Kweku Baako has sued the loudmouth lawmaker at the Accra High Court, asking the court to compel the controversial lawmaker to vomit GH¢25 million for defaming him.

The ace journalist is accusing the loudmouthed Kennedy Agyapong of using his own media platform Net 2 TV and Oman FM as well Adom TV and numerous other platforms to spew statements that Mr Baako considers injurious to his hard-won reputation.

The writ sighted by MyNewsGh.com said among other things that Kennedy Agyapong called Mr Kwaku Baako ‘corrupt’ and ‘dishonest’, in total disregard for Mr. Baako’s years of building his reputation earning an Order of the Star of Volta in the process and managing many prominent newspapers to success.
