Family of three murdered and set ablazed in Ningo-Prampram

A family of three has been shot dead and their bodies set ablaze at Zutsukpo in the Ningo Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region.

The incident reportedly happened last night while the man, his wife and their five-year-old son were returning home after going to fetch water from Tsopoli, nearby town.

Reports say about 200 meters to home; they were attacked by the unknown assailants who shot them and set them ablaze immediately.

In an interview with the Assembly member of Ningo Prampram, Jonathan Mensah Bawa said the whole area is engulfed with fear as they do not know what will happen again after the death of the three.

Also the Ningo-Prampram Division Police Commander, ACP Dodzie Hlordzi, in an interview with Kingdom FM’s Ama Brako Ampofo confirmed the incident that his outfit has commenced investigations into the incident.

He said, when we visited the place we realized that there were three different ammunitions there at the scene which means they were actually shot. We need to get the homicide unit and others to see is there will be any lead.

He urged all residents within the area to exercise calm as they will make sure to bring the perpetrators to book immediately.
