‘I moved to China want to make more money’ – Wakaso

Jiangsu Suning midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has confessed that he moved to moved to China to make more money as a player.

The Ghanaian midfielder made a shocking move from Spanish side, Deportivo Alaves to Jiangsu Suning in January 2020. This transfer shocked many football lovers.

The 29-year-old midfielder in an interview on Angel TV admitted that the move to the Asian side was motivated by moved.

“The truth is one, I went to china because of money,” Wakaso told Angel TV.

“I consulted and got many suggestions when I asked people’s opinion about the china move, I decided to go there because of the money involved Aside from the money, am going to play football there.

“The Chinese want to develop their league hence all the big signings, so people should understand that football is been played at china.”

The COVID-19 pandemic which has led to the suspending of the league has made it impossible for Wakaso to make an appearance for his Chinese side.
