A Ghanaian bible scholar, Dan Owusu-Asiamah, Senior preacher of
Takoradi Central Church of Christ (TCCC) has urged Christians to start reading their bibles, claiming calling one’s self a prophet and running a church is not biblical.
Owusu-Asiamah made the claim on Sankofa Radio’s radio programme “Wo Nyame Som Mponi” on Saturday, where he alleged that some Prophets in Ghana are going contrary to the word of God by running churches.
He explained that the Bible prohibits founders and leaders of churches from calling themselves Prophets. Did Elijah or Isaiah form a church in the bible? He questioned.
