Your Do-or-Die Comment Means Bloodshed- Allotey Tells Mahama To Apologize

Former Central Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Allotey Jacobs, has told Mr. John Mahama to apologize to Ghanaians for saying that the 2024 elections would be a do-or-die affair.

According to the seasoned politician, Mr. Mahama is trying hard to satisfy the mob and would live to regret it if he doesn’t apologize for his comment.

“He is trying to satisfy the mob and he will leave to regret. But we must not live our lives to regret as politician. His statement is for the mob”, he said.

Former President John Mahama after receiving heavy backlash has attempted to reduce the weight of his do-or-die comment to an idiomatic expression but Allotey Jacobs believes it will be better he renders a proper apology to Ghanaians.

Speaking on Wontumi TV, Mr. Jacobs noted that many understood Mr. Mahama’s call to mean bloodshed rather than his attempt to attribute it to an idiom.

“Mahama has to beg for saying that. It is not an idiomatic expression”, Mr. Allotey Jacobs openly said when asked about his opinion on the message Mr. Mahama preached on another radio station during his thank you tour.
