I’m here to serve mother Ghana- Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim

Following his successful election, Honorable Enest Yaw Anim, a newly elected Member of Parliament, paid his first trip to the United States. He was simply traveling through town to take care of some business, yet he found time to stop Sankofa Radio studio’s in Virginia. For a victory he called important for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and himself, he extended his appreciation to God.

In an exclusive interview on the program “Susubribi Ma Wo Man” on www.sankofaradio.com, he discussed his political experience with us and offered a brief overview of how it went from the beginning to finally gaining the seat. Honorable Anim first became interested in politics as a student. In primary, junior high, and secondary school, he served as student leader. He was well-versed and serving as Atlantic Hall’s hall president when he arrived to the university. During his time in college, his involvement in politics significantly increased. For the 2008 elections, he joined the team that traveled to the Volta region to serve as a polling agent.

Although they lost the first round, he returned as an agent for the second round. He became a party member formally in 2012, at which point he began giving his time to assist NPP’s objectives. He supported in 2016, and after NPP gained the Kumawu seat in the 2020 elections, the party underwent a significant change.Three years later, Honorable Amin is seated in a position that he formerly supported the election of others to. Election day saw voters choose a new member of parliament to succeed the late Philip Atta Basoah, who passed away on March 27th of this year while still in office for a third straight term. With a total of 15,264, Honorable Ernest Yaw Anim was able to cruise to victory.

Honorable said that this victory is a victory for everyone and for Ghana, not just for him. His philosophy emphasizes cooperation and working toward shared objectives. He said that he and the vice president had numerous discussions on future plans and economic goals as well as the welfare of the town of Kumawu. People often mention not seeing what Politicians do while in office but he assures that by the end of the year, a lot of work will have been accomplished. He called our attention to two initiatives that the NPP initiated while in office, including free secondary education for all students and free meals in all schools. He requests his supporters keep following him to his the process of his work for the community. and his future ambitions, as well as his assurance that he is there to serve his people and meet their needs.
