The 2024 presidential election run-off will be between Alan and Mahama, with Alan winning—Adorye

A leading member of Movement for Change Hopeson Adorye has expressed strong optimism that Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen will emerge as the elected President after the December 7, 2024 presidential election.

To those who have ruled him out of the race, Mr. Adorye has stated that his boss would surprise Ghanaians by becoming the country’s next president.  He stated that they hold a strong conviction that Alan will win the election, essentially a two-horse race between them and the NDC. He observed that there are no clear signs of an NPP victory, given the widespread dissatisfaction among the party’s supporters, with many choosing not to vote for the party.

Additionally, he forecast that neither the Movement for Change nor the NDC will reach the 50+1% mark, resulting in a runoff, which Alan is expected to win, assuming the presidency of Ghana in 2025. These remarks were made during his campaign tour in the Greater Accra Region, where he engaged with party supporters at Haatso.

”We are optimistic about winning the election. Several members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have changed their minds and are willing to vote massively for Alan rather than their own party. Alan Kyerematen is set to win the election. I have always claimed that Bawumia is not of the same race. The election is between Alan and John Mahama. Neither of the two will be able to get more than fifty percent plus one vote. We will proceed into a run-off to select the winner, Alan Kyerematen, who will be declared the winner and sworn in as president.”
