Hearse runs into a stationary police service vehicle at Adaklu

A Hyundai H200 Hearse with registration number VR 508-13 on Saturday, July 4, 2020, rammed into a police service vehicle at Adaklu in the Adaklu-Anyigbe District of the Volta Region.

According to police sources, the service vehicle with registration number GP 5098 was moving from Adaklu-Kpatove towards Adaklu-Waya on official duty whiles suspect driver Kpogo Christopher was in charge Hyundai H200 Hearse from the same direction towards Ho.

On reaching a section of the road few metres to Adaklu-Waya township, suspect police driver claimed he and parked the service vehicle at the right hand side edge of the road and alighted from the vehicle to urinate whilst a colleague corporal remained seated in the vehicle.

In the process, suspect driver Kpogo Christopher who was driving behind the police vehicle alleged his vehicle steering wheel failed to function all of sudden.

The vehicle then move towards the side of the stationary police vehicle and hit the driver’s rear side causing severe damage to it no causalities were recorded.

The hearse driver has since been arrested and is in police custody assisting with investigations.
