A comment from the Upper West Regional Minister, Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing, has left many sh,ocked.
In a recent video, he suggested that people who pray five times a day do so because they don’t have enough work to keep them busy.
He even went on to say that combining the five prayers at one time would be fine with God.
This sparked an immediate uproar, especially from the Muslim community, who felt the Minister’s remarks were disrespectful to their faith.
The Upper West Regional Chief Imam’s office quickly responded, demanding that the Minister retract his statement and apologize publicly within 72 hours.
They made it clear that if their demands aren’t met, they may take peaceful action to defend their beliefs.
