Former President John Dramani Mahama has visited
victims of Thursday’s violence during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election. In a facebook post monitored by Sankofa Radio, the former President who is seeking the party’s nomination for the 2020 Presidential elections wrote:
It’s a sad day for our democracy, but I used the opportunity to continue to call for calm among supporters of the NDC despite the unacceptable attack on them.
I will be returning to the Volta Region later this morning to continue with my campaign, which had to be rescheduled to enable me visit and wish our injured colleagues well.
