Anas Galamsey Expose’ is foolish-Justice Kwaku Annan

Ace investigative journalist, Justice Kwaku Annan has described the latest investigative piece by award-winning investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on galamsey as useless and extremely foolish.

The documentary, titled ‘Galamsey Fraud’ which lasts a little over 27 minutes is centered on one of President Akufo-Addo’s priorities in his administration i.e the fight against illegal mining widely known as Galamsey.
The expose’ reveals the involvement of government officials circumventing measures to curb the canker.

One of such government officials captured in the secret filming is the Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Mr. Charles Cromwell Bissiw, who is seen taking cash amounting to GHC35,000 in three meetings through one Andy Owusu, a connection man, to circumvent the process to renew the mining license for ORR Resources Enterprise.

The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah at a press conference on Thursday said the government will act on the video documentary, but that will be upon receipt of the unedited clips from Anas.

Justice Kwaku Annan, who is the host of ‘Ghana Must Know’,an investigative/current affairs show on Accra-based Hot 93.9FM,expressing his view on the latest investigative piece on his show, courageously indicated that the galamsey video is the most useless documentary ever to be produced:

“Some of us we have already condemned the methodology of Anas; today the government is insisting Anas should bring the unedited clips of the galamsey documentary..Anas thinks he is a smart boy..that galamsey video is the most useless, extremely useless and foolish video documentary ever”,Justice Kwaku Annan angrily said.
