President Akufo Addo has since Wednesday, 10th September, 2019 commenced his 3-day tour of the Ashanti Region , where he will visit several project sites.
However an astute member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yammin said the President is only visiting projects started by former president John Mahama .
President Akufo-Addo noted that the timely completion of these road projects will not only enhance the status of Kumasi as Ghana’s 2nd largest city, but also establish it as a major and strategic business destination in West Africa.
Did Yammin expect the current administration to abandon those projects? NDC used hard borrowed money so the projects have to be completed assuming what he is saying is true. When admins borrow huge sums of money and do not complete projects before leaving office, do they leave the remaining borrowed money for the next admin.? They loot and still expect the new admin. to complete the projects. When the new admin cannot find money to finish the project these same people would be shouting. When the admin. finds money to complete, then the admin is told of something Yammin is saying here.
We all cry of wasting money when new administrations abandon or seemingly abandon projects which they come to meet. Such nonsense should stop for new admins. to continue with ongoing projects left by their predecessors.
