There is an urgent need to prevent former President John Mahama from roaming as government continues to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus by restricting human movement, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has warned.
The former President is reported to have presented some protective gears to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital to support the fight against the deadly coronavirus.
He was accompanied by the parliamentary candidate for Cape Coast North, Dr Kwamena Minta-Nyarku together with the central regional chairman of the National Democratic Congress and other executives of the party.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated that he has been monitoring the movement of the former President and it is becoming clearer to him that “anywhere John Mahama goes, they record new cases of COVID-19”.
Chairman Wontumi was speaking in an interview with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Kumasi based Wontumi Radio and Tv.
For this reason, Chairman Wontumi stated in an interview which was monitored by wontumionline.com on Wontumi tv that “John Mahama must practice social distancing just as President Akufo-Addo has ordered all to obey”.
