Elite ladies Club, is an American based non-profit organization with members in Ghana. Its mission is to build sustainable development and support various underserved communities both in Ghana and the USA.
Its goal during this COVID 19 pandemic era is to raise funds and donate Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) and other medical supplies to health facilities and communities in need to aid in the fight against the global crises.
To this end, its local representatives in Ghana on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020, made a donation of variety of cleaning supplies and PPEs to the Gomoa Aboso in the Central region CHPS compound to boost their efforts in mitigating the COVID-19 pandemic.
The items, which included face shields, surgical masks, infrared thermometers, examination gloves, hand sanitizers, anti-bacteria liquid soaps, disinfectants, Veronica buckets, mops, brooms, dust bins, paper towels and other sanitary supplies were received by Ms. Miriam Bondzi Micah, the Midwife in-charge of the Health facility; Nana Kwesi Ankoma I, a representative of the Chief; Hon. Jesse Korsah, and Hon. Ernest Quarm, who are members of the District Assembly.
On behalf of the group, spokesperson for Elite Ladies in Ghana, Ms. Penelope Tetteh stated that, the donation was the group’s token to support the community in the effort to fight against coronavirus.
