Tension at Ejura as “Fix The Country” activist Mohammed Kaaka dies after mob attack

There is a growing tension at Ejura as one of the leading members of Fix The Country demonstration who was attacked by a mob on 25th June around midnight in his house, has been reported dead.

The deceased, Ibrahim Mohammed, well known as Macho Kaaka, was stabbed and had sustained a great deal of injury, leading to his unfortunate death.

The mob attacked him with sticks and sharp objects until he fell down unconsciously in a pool of blood. They then abandoned him and fled.

He was later rushed to the Ejura hospital and was referred to the KATH, where he had been in critical condition until his death this afternoon, Monday, June 28.

Prior to Saturday’s deadly attack, Ibrahim was said to have been receiving several messages of threats on his life.

The youths of Ejura have given President Akufo-Addo a 24-hour ultimatum to immediately remove the Municipal Chief Executive, Mohammed Sualisu Bamba from post.

They are also demanding the removal of the police commander, who they accuse of playing a role in the attack of the activist.

Their demands were in reaction to the death of a #FixTheCountry activist, Mohammed Kaaka, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

The angry youth further indicated that, in the likely situation where the President fails to heed, the appeal would be met with a non – stop violent street protest.

“First it was Rauf, and one guy at Hiawoanwu and now Kaaka. What we are telling the President is that enough is enough. We won’t sit down for Bamba and his Boys to rule this town like a separate territory,” one of the youths stated.
