A pregnant woman who was reported missing a week ago after she was whisked away during her morning routine walk around her house was found in Axim, a town in the Western Region on Tuesday, September 21.
According to Mr Simons, his wife, Josephine Panyin Simons was 9-months pregnant when she was kidnapped.
The Regional Minister, Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah claims the woman was not pregnant and has not also given birth in the last 6 days after doctors examined her.
She was examined by Dr Jerry Atobra at the Axim Hospital and there is no proof that she was pregnant and the family will be investigated. (The husband, victim and mother of the victim).
According to the Minister, he started to suspect the family when they gave different information in relation to the ransom the kidnappers were demanding.
Even though the investigation has not proven facts, he believes the whole kidnapping incident was staged by the family for their own personal gains.
However, Mr Simons has denied the allegations labelled by the Regional Minister and has challenged him to go for his wife’s antenatal records at the Takoradi Hospital.
