Shatta Wale arrested after gunshot attack hoax

Shatta Wale has been arrested by the police for conniving with some of his team members to feign a gunshot attack on October 18, 2021. The Police posted on their Facebook page around 9pm on October 19, 2021.

This comes after Jesus Ahuofe, an Accra-based pastor who predicted in an interview on Accra FM in September that Shatta Wale would be shot on October 18, 2021, was picked up by personnel of the Ghana Police Service.

On October 19, 2021, the preacher was picked up at the premises of the media company where he was scheduled to attend an interview.

Earlier, Mr. Appiah-Kubi said the police informed personnel of Class Media Group that no family member of the singer has made an official complaint to the Accra Regional Command.

The Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service, Supt. Alexander Obeng also urged members of the public to volunteer information about the whereabouts of Shatta Wale.

The Police have also arrested Kojo Owusu Koranteng, also known as Nana Dope and Eric Venator, alias Gangee, for allegedly spreading false information with the intention to cause fear and panic in connection with the case.
