Mr Kwabena Ampofo Appiah, Managing Director of State Housing Company yesterday paid a courtesy call on the Okuapemhene Okuapemhene, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, at his palace.
The viisit was to explore the possibilities of SHC establishing an esate within the Akuapim enclave.
Although the meeting was behind closed doors after exchange of pleasantries, it was learnt that the Okuapemhene was excited about the mission of the visit and pledged to support the project by identifying a suitable location for the project.
He recalled that about four decades ago, the Akuapem Traditional Council gifted then State Housing Corporation but the land was necer developed.
Mr Kwabena Ampofo Appiah thanked him for his warm reception and noted that his technical team was all set to meet Representatives of the Council to begin deliberations towards establishing an SHC Estate.
It would be recalled that since the SHC Administration took office about five years ago, Traditional Leaders including the Asantehene, Otumfuo Ose Tutu II, Okyenhene Amoatia Ofori Panin, the Omanhene of the Sefwi Traditional Area, Osabarima Kwasi Bumangama have all gifted SHC with parcels of land for housing projects.
