The National Identification Authority, NIA has welcomed the decision of the Ministry of Communication to extend the deadline for the registration of SIM cards saying the extension will ease the pressure on everyone.
According to NIA, the extension provides the authority with sufficient time to issue outstanding cards to applicants.
Government had earlier set March 31 as the deadline for the ongoing SIM re-registration exercise.
