The New Patriotic Party (NPP) barring any unforeseen circumstances will be holding its presidential primary on November 4, 2023, to elect a flagbearer for the 2024 general elections.
Opening of nominations will be on 26th May 2023.
A statement signed by Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the party, further “barred the National, Regional, Constituency party executives and MMDCEs from contesting in constituencies where the Party has sitting Members of Parliament”.
“The Party has also approved detailed rules and regulations to govern the conduct of both the presidential and parliamentary primaries which would be made” available to the public in due time.
Meanwhile, the parliamentary primaries will be held in February 2024.
