God has already done it – Jomoro MP declares as she faces vetting

Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency Dorcas Affo-Toffey has called on her supporters, and constituents, in general, for prayers as she gets vetted on Monday, April 3.

Madam Affo-Toffey is among several National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirants being vetted across the nation from Monday to Wednesday, April 5 ahead of the May 13 primaries.

She is seeking re-election but has been challenged by two others, who picked forms when nominations were opened.

She is, however, tipped to be re-elected as NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for the 2024 elections, having come out victorious from a two-year litigation against her dual citizenship.

“I, Hon Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the MP for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, will this day, Monday, April 3, 2023, appear before the Vetting Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western Region to be vetted as I seek re-election to represent the good people of Jomoro,” she wrote on Facebook on Monday.

“I kindly urge you all, especially my lovely constituents in Jomoro, to support me in prayers as I go through this mandatory exercise with everyone who want to lead our great NDC party in all the 275 constituencies across the country.

“I know with your constant prayers, God has already done it.

“Together, we shall make Jomoro and Ghana work. God bless us all. Thank you.”
