Bishop Salifu Amoako’s son sentenced to six months at a correctional facility

The son of Bishop Salifu Amoako has been sentenced to six months at a senior correctional facility by the Juvenile Court.

The tragic incident occurred when the young man, son of the respected man of God, was involved in a car accident that resulted in the death of two young girls and injuries to three others. The speeding vehicle he was driving collided with a car transporting the deceased to a party.

Following the accident, Salifu Amoako’s son was unconscious and only faced charges after being discharged from the hospital. His parents and a shop attendant were also arrested and charged for allowing a minor to drive.

Today in court, Elrad Salifu Amoako pleaded guilty to eight counts, including two counts of manslaughter. He was sentenced to six months at a senior correctional facility and fined Gh8k to cover the damages caused to a streetlight during the accident.

Additionally, Salifu Amoako and his wife were each fined Gh6k for the failure to control their son’s actions.
