Ato Forson named as Finance Minister in Mahama’s first set of ministerial appointment

President John Mahama has announced his appointments for key positions in his administration. Ajumako Enyan Essiam MP and Majority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has been selected as the Finance Minister-designate.

This decision marks the first set of appointments made by President Mahama since his inauguration on January 7, 2025.

Additionally, Yapei-Kusawgu MP, John Jinapor, has been chosen as the Energy Minister-designate, and Bolgatanga East MP, Dr. Dominic Ayine, will serve as the Attorney General and Minister for Justice-designate.

The appointments were officially announced in a statement signed by the Acting Spokesperson of President Mahama, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

These appointments reflect President Mahama’s commitment to assembling a strong and capable team to lead the country forward.
