Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has reaffirmed his commitment to support Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama.
He says his country’s support for Ghana remains intact, and has asked the newly sworn-in President to always count on him whenever he is in need.
Speaking as the Special Guest at the inauguration of Mahama, the Nigerian President shared his optimism in Ghana being reset under John Mahama, bringing to bear the cordial relationship between himself and Ghana’s President.
He expressed confidence Mahama and assured him that Nigeria will always avail herself for Ghana when the need be.
“President John Mahama and I share a deep friendship. My dear brother, I am here to walk with you. You know you can count on Nigerian support at any given time you call on me. We shall always be there for you,” Tinubu remarked.
“May your administration bring profound progress for you, Ghanaians, and the entire region. I am confident that the new government under your leadership will work with Nigeria to strengthen this powerful bond,” he added.
Tinubu further shared the need for the continent to unite to build stronger economies for the development of their respective nations.
“We will lift our nations out of poverty and build strong and resilient economies for our people. I am here not only as the President of Nigeria but also as an African, in resolute support of Ghana and our people.
“The sun is out, and the sky may be blue, but I see today a Black Star rising, rising through the African skies with a sense of shared history, hope, compassion, unity, and devotion to our common welfare,” he admonished.
