Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, has vowed to ensure that the government retrieves state funds from every former government official involved in embezzlement.

“I want to assure the public that whoever has stolen even a pesewa of state funds will be forced to return it. The young people of Ghana will not forgive President John Mahama if ORAL doesn’t work. ORAL is one of the key things we campaigned on.”
He emphasized that he is prepared to lead a crusade against his own government if no prosecutions are made.
“Even some of us who led the youth mobilization if these corrupt former officials are not prosecuted and state funds are not retrieved from them will lead the charge against our own government. So whoever has stolen any state money will return it, that I can assure the public.”
