Take Our Members to Court If They’re Guilty – Justin Kodua Challenges Government

General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua, has called on the government to prosecute appointees of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who are found to have caused financial loss to the state, instead of resorting to intimidation and arrests.

Speaking following the release of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, from the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on Monday, June 2, 2025, Kodua argued that the current approach suggests a lack of solid evidence for proper legal prosecution.

“If they know they have a case, they should take our people to court and stop the intimidation. They should go to court so that we can prove to them that we have the lawyers to mount any form of defense. If they say Wontumi has done something wrong, take him to court.” He said.

He further criticized the government’s actions as political persecution, urging authorities to follow due process and the rule of law rather than targeting individuals without proper legal grounds.
