Two dead, six injured in Tamale–Kintampo highway accident

The incident occurred at Mile Forty when a Kia truck loaded with groundnuts and carrying eight passengers veered off the road.

A trailer traveling in the opposite direction was also involved in the crash.

Rescue officers from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in Buipe rushed to the scene and managed to save six people trapped in the wreckage. Unfortunately, two victims were pronounced dead on the spot.

According to the GNFS, the injured and deceased were handed over to the police for further action. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
