Bawumia’s endorsements don’t scare us; our candidate is a winning candidate – Ken’s Campaign Team

The campaign team for Kennedy Agyapong has stated that they are not intimidated by the number of endorsements former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has received.

According to the team, their candidate is well-liked by both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the general voting population.

Charles Bissue, the Director of Operations for the Kennedy Agyapong campaign, believes the former Assin Central Member of Parliament has proven his value as a founding member of the party and has dedicated himself to making the NPP a formidable force.

In an interview with Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM’s “Frontline,” Mr. Bissue said, “These endorsements don’t mean anything. We are not scared by it, and we are focused. The dynamics in our political space have changed. The old ways of doing this have changed, so we are not moved by these endorsements.”

He noted that the party’s delegates are the ones who will decide on January 31, 2026, and he is optimistic that Kennedy Agyapong will emerge as the winner.

Mr. Bissue also dismissed the idea that Kennedy Agyapong is too “loud,” explaining that he hates when people misbehave. When he senses any wrongdoing, he speaks out against it, and people mistake that for him being loud.

He described this as “positive defiance,” assuring Ghanaians that Kennedy Agyapong is a man of integrity and discipline. He added that Agyapong would bring new dynamics to the presidency, eschewing all forms of opulence and indiscipline in public service.

“Kennedy Agyapong is a grassroots person. He understands the people and isn’t fake. He understands every aspect of human life, so it makes him appreciate the challenges confronting the people. Politics is deeper than just seeking power; it is about building relationships and being a servant, not a lord over the people,” Bissue stated.

He also added that Kennedy Agyapong’s resourcefulness is not just about money but also the ability to mobilize people toward national development.

“If elected president, Kennedy Agyapong will set higher standards. He will not entertain indiscipline from his appointees. He is the best candidate with the skills and competence to be president. It doesn’t mean that Dr. Bawumia is bad, but he is not the preferred candidate. Ghanaians have communicated this to us, and we, as a party, must be guided to present Kennedy Agyapong as our candidate,” he concluded.
