Police confirms NAM 1’s arrest in Dubai

The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of embattled businessman, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM 1.

A statement signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP David Eklu said on Sunday January 13, 2019, Ghanaian officials in Dubai were informed by Emirati officials that they had already arrested NAM 1 as at December 7, 2018.

“His arrest in Dubai is to facilitate investigation into suspicions that he had been involved in gold trading deal gone bad within the Emirati jurisdiction” the statement said.
