Former Member of Parliament for the Nantong Constituency and deputy minister for trade and industry, Ibrahim Muhammad Murtala said the president of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo will be remembered for his “monstrous leadership” style during his tenure in Ghana.

The vociferous 2020 NDC Tamale Central MP hopeful, said this when he was speaking on the minority’s boycott during the swearing ceremony of Ayawaso West Wuogon’s MP, Lydia Alhassan on radio Tamale’s current affairs program, dabbed ‘Wake-Up Tamale’ with Ibrahim Alhassan.

“We have agreed to chart a path of democracy in 1992. We have come out with a book called a constitution and truth. And as a results of that constitution, we started implementing what we agreed to chatter the Democratic path. So one will expect, that having abandoned the path of dictatorship and charted the path of democracy. And all of will respect the tenets of democracy”, he said.

“Unfortunately, the NPP doesn’t seem to adhere to the admonishment of all, particularly, the constitution and rule of law. I think that president Nana Addo will be remembered as the monstrous leader who ever governed this country”, Mr. Murtala added.

According to him, Ghanaians are at where they are because they refused to listen to close associates of President Nana Addo who warned them not to vote for him in order to avoid the violence at Ayawaso by-election and its likes.

“We were warned by people who knew him more than any of us. I can make mention Mr. Kofi Koomson who happened to be a childhood friend. Or a very long time friend to the president. He said that he could not sleep with Nana Addo as president. And that in the event of Nana Addo becoming president of the republic of Ghana, he will be sleeping with one eye opened”, the former MP stated.

“Even Nana Addo, this gangster, indeed, boasted about what happened in Atiwa, that in Atiwa we showed them a little in Atiwa, that means that they perpetrated violence in Atiwa”

“You remembered what Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe said. That he won’t vote for Nana Addo because he is a violent person. You remembered what president Kufuor said. In asking people to vote for Mr. Alan Kyeremangten in the 2008 NPP presidential elections. Indeed in a secret recording, told them, that they should vote for people who will maintain the peace and stability in this country. And one of them certainly everybody knew was Nana Addo”, he concluded.
