You haven’t cheated God if you gave your tithe to a needy person-Rev. Father claims

Reverend Father Chinenye Oluoma , priest of the catholic archdiocese of Abuja has resurrected the tithing argument after a video clip of him telling his church members that they can dedicate their tithe to helping the needy as opposed to bringing it to church.

In the clip which has since gone viral, the priest can be seen stating that if a Christian witnesses an accident and the only spare money they have is their tithe, it is good to use it to save the life of the accident victim, instead of bringing it to church for the pastor.

He added that by so doing, the person is not cheating God but a greedy man of God who is making people believe that their tithe must be brought to the altar of the church before it will be accepted by God. Some social media users can already suspect that this makes interesting for Daddy Freeze, who is always slamming Nigerian pastors for demanding tithes and accusing them of preaching a filtered gospel to suit their agenda.

The controversial media personality has always emphasized the fact that it is not necessary for one to pay tithes as God never demands money from humans in the first place.
