Two cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at the Bekwai government hospital in the Ashanti Region.
At the last count, confirmed Covid-19 cases stood at 378. The number of deaths, however, remained at six.
Currently, the number of regions with record of the Covid-19 stand at eight (8) with the Eastern region being the second highest in Ghana with a record high of twenty-one (21) cases so far and one (1) new death bringing nationwide case count to nearly four-hundred (400).
The regional distribution of the cases as last updated by the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service are as follows: Greater Accra Region has most cases (256) followed by the Ashanti Region (18), Northern Region (10), Upper West Region (1), Eastern Region (1) and Upper East Region (1).”
The update further revealed that a total of 172 cases were reported from the routine and enhanced surveillance activities and those from travellers under mandatory quarantine in both Accra and Tamale are 115.
