Mahama Shouldn’t Have Contested For Presidency Again – Obiri Boahene

The Deputy Minister for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahene has said that the Flagbearer for the opposition party National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama should have resorted in writing books and not come back to stand for the presidency again.

Mr. Boahene said this during an interview with Kumasi based Hello FM.

According to Obiri Boahene, he was not shocked when the party-appointed Mahama again since the party could not point one individual to lead the party in this election.

“You were not taken off power through a coup but through the ballot box. By now you should be writing your books. You should be writing books like what the Ahwoi’s and Obed Asamoah and other retired Politicians have done in chronicling their journey.” he said.

Mr Boahene added that the former president shouldn’t have thought of seeking to be re-elected into power after the humiliation he received in the 2016 elections.
