Do not follow your party and ruin your dignity – Kabila advises Mahama

ormer General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh otherwise known as Kabila has advised NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama to go to court if he has any problem with the results of the 2020 elections.

Since the declaration of President Akufo-Addo as the winner of the just ended Presidential elections, the NDC and its flagbearer have rejected the results, threatening to use every legitimate means to challenge the results announced by the Electoral Commission.

Many have admonished the former President and his party to go to court since that is the legitimate means to challenge the results of the elections.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show, Kabila believes the international community is monitoring the situation keenly and for John Dramani Mahama to maintain the respect he has, he has to as soon as possible go to court or accept defeat for peace to prevail.

“Article 64 says if the election verdict is declared and you have objections, go to the law court within 21 days but you (Mahama) say you won’t do that and also won’t accept the verdict”, Kabila said.

“President Mahama, please, former President, we have a lot of respect for you. The international community respects you. Don’t follow your party and ruin your dignity,” he added.
