A senior lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University (KSTU), Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo, has called on the General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress to resign from his post following his decision to boycott a meeting with the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
According to him, the political ways of Mr. Asiedu Nketia also known as General Mosquito, have become obsolete.
Sharing his view on the Wontumi Morning Show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Dr. Kwarteng Forkuo it was wrong for the NDC under their current leadership to deny an invitation from the Electoral Commission to attend an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to review the 2020 Parliamentary and Presidential Elections.
The General Secretary for the NDC in a statement explained that the party took the decision “because of the lack of candor, odious duplicity, and open bias that was displayed by the Jean Mensah-led Electoral Commission in favor of the New Patriotic Party” in the conduct of the 2020 general elections.
But Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo responded that the move by the NDC shows they are “lawless“ for which reason, he stated that “the leadership of the NDC has to be changed.”
He maintained that the tactics of Mr. Asiedu Nketia has become obsolete despite having a huge fanbase in the NDC.
He described General Mosquito as someone whose political “strategy is old and he is not dynamic.”
