Kaaka’s family and other victims must be compensated-Allotey Jacobs

The Former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs is calling on the Government to put measures in place to compensate the family of Kakaa and the rest of the victims.

‘’By the time the probe committee on the Ejura clash comes to an end, the government has to compensate all the people who were found victimize’’ Allotey Jacobs has suggested.

Speaking on ‘’Pae Mu Ka on Accra-based Kingdom FM’he said the behavior of the military personnel was awful and can never be accepted in any circumstances.

According to him, everybody has the right to speak or embark on a peaceful demonstration in order for them to present their petition to the ruling government on the issues troubling them. In this case, the police have every power to control the crowd but not in a violent way as we all saw in the video.

In Ghana the police are not respected, which should not be so, we have to learn to respect the police and be friends with them. He said this crucial incident wouldn’t have happened if the police were much respected.

He added that the Ejura clash and WA issues have created some kind of tension in the country which is not supposed to be so. ‘’I am calling on the government to address the nation on recent events to calm the nerves of people down’’.
