President Akufo Addo has reacted to the suggestions on the NPP’s flagship Free Senior High School policy.
There has been a clarion call by a section of Ghanaians to the president to review the Free Senior High School policy to take some pressure off the state coffers.
Many have suggested the policy should be reviewed to make some parents who can afford to pay fees and other charges do so.
The president speaking on Obantapa Radio in Kasoa categorically stated that his government won’t make any changes to the policy.
He stressed that education is very paramount to nation-building, a reason why the policy will remain intact.
Reacting to the widespread suggestion to review the policy and make some parents who can afford to pay tuition fees, the president noted that those who are capable of paying should take their wards to private senior high schools and pay.
