Ghanaian man sets a record by hugging 1,123 trees

Guinness World Record has announced that a Ghanaian by the name of Abubakar Tahiru has set a record for hugging 1,123 trees.

According to the world record body, Abubakar Tahiru averaged almost 19 per minute.

Announcing the feat chalked, the Guinness World Record said “Abubakar says the hardest part of the record attempt was having to move quickly between trees while ensuring that each hug met the required standards!”.

Abubakar grew up in a farming community in Tepa, Ghana, where he developed a keen interest in nature and its conservation!

The record-breaking effort was made at Auburn, Alabama, USA, on 25 March 2024, when he made the amazing accomplishment of hugging 1,123 trees in one hour.

This is not the first time a Ghanaian has achieved a feat recorded by the Guinness World Record.
