25 year-old man shot dead at Akyem Dokyi-Tetekasom

A 25-year-old man, Kwame Asamoah, popularly known as Kwame Ketewa, has been shot dead by an unknown assailant while returning from his farm in Akyem Dokyi-Tetekasom, near Akyem Takyiman in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region.

According to reports, Kwame had left home on Monday morning to collect palm fruits for his father. However, tragedy struck on his way back.

Esther Adumea, a farmer whose land shares a boundary with the deceased, recounted that she was preparing to carry farm produce home when she suddenly heard a gunshot.

Out of caution, she and her son decided to wait for a while before heading home.

Upon returning, they discovered Kwame Ketewa lying in a pool of blood, with no sign of the perpetrator.

Chief Inspector Godsway, the station officer in Akyem Takyiman, has since transferred the body to the Kade Government Hospital. Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched to track down the suspect.
