The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Madam Linda Ocloo, has assured residents living in the region that the President John Dramani Mahama-led administration remains committed to completing all road projects started by the previous government.
She noted that the new government took over not too long ago, and efforts were underway to study the various road contracts awarded by the previous government, and in no time, the projects would be completed.
Madam Ocloo was responding to concerns raised by some residents and commuters who ply the Ofankor-Nsawam road.
The minister, in her response, said that “the government took over not too long ago. Some of the contracts awarded and the contract sum needed to be reviewed. The government needs to study the contract and engage with the contractors involved. So I will appeal to residents in the region to exercise patience.
President John Dramani Mahama is a promise keeper, and I am assured by the residents that all roads that are yet to be completed would be worked on. President Mahama gave that assurance that he will complete all road projects, but we need to study the contact sum. They should be rest assured that President Mahama will deliver on his promises.”
