The Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has announced that the party will not make public the findings of the 12-member committee that investigated its defeat in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking to JoyNews following the official presentation of the report to party leadership on Wednesday in Accra, Mr. Ahiagbah clarified that the document, led by committee chair Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, is intended solely for internal use.
“It is an internal document that will guide the party’s reform process and help position us for victory in 2028,” he said. “So, while it may not have been explicitly stated, it is clearly implied that the document is not meant for public consumption.”
He noted, however, that the core issues and lessons identified in the report will be shared with the party’s grassroots and stakeholders through other means.
According to Mr. Ahiagbah, the committee’s recommendations will play a pivotal role in shaping the party’s future strategy and preparations for the next general elections.
