The industry is pure evil; our own colleagues are killing us slowly— Esther Smith opens up on battles

Gospel legend Esther Smith has reacted to Cwesi Oteng’s claim that some gospel musicians once took his album to a cemetery to destroy it spiritually.
Esther Smith has confirmed — the gospel industry isn’t as holy as it looks.
Sharing her own experience, she revealed how being genuine in the industry comes at a heavy price.
“If you are genuine, they will fight and deal with you until you give up,” she wrote in a heartfelt Facebook post.
According to her, the attacks come in different forms — your relationship, your finances, even your health.
“It’s long time ooo… but if you know, you know. Sorry my dear, keep on praying. God will come through for you if you are genuinely called.”
Her advice? Pray without ceasing! Because the battles in the gospel music space are real — and sometimes very dark.
“If I tell you what I went through and what I am going through, you will feel sorry for me. But I know my Redeemer lives.”
