I don’t hold grudges — Wendy Shay responds to critics

Wendy Shay has responded to critics who frequently misinterpret her actions and statements online, emphasizing that she chooses to focus on the positive energy surrounding her career.

In an interview with Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie on Hitz FM, the singer stated that she does not allow negative comments or criticism to derail her purpose or goals.

I do see the positivity and love out there,” she said. “I’m not going to pretend that I don’t see both negative and positive comments, but I choose what I focus on.”

Wendy also reflected on a past incident where a school performance of hers was twisted into a negative story, prompting her to respond with kindness.

“People tried to turn it into bad PR,” she said, “but I went back to the school, donated items, and promised to pay the student’s fees up to university level.”

Her response, she said, came from a place of maturity and understanding. “I don’t hold grudges. Come on, life’s too short for that. I believe in doing what’s right and moving on,” she emphasized.
