Stop politicizing Presidential ban on public gathering- Asiedu Nketia warned

The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the New Juaben North Constituency in the Eastern Region, Kwadwo Boateng-Agyemang, has chided General Secretary of the NDC, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia for saying president’s directive on public gatherings is a plot to rig the 2020 elections.

Kwadwo Boateng-Agyemang has expressed his disappointments in the NDC chief scribe for comments he sees as unnecessary and frivolous.

According to him, Asiedu Nketia and his NDC are only interested in winning political power but are not interested in the well-being of Ghanaians as the government is bent to control the spread of the Coronavirus disease [COVID-19].

“I don’t understand why the Asiedu Nketia and NDC will decide to do politics with the coronavirus epidemic; it simply doesn’t make sense, NDC are happy Coronavirus is in Ghana and is sad how some people are making politics too out of it,’’

According to Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the NDC, the real intention of the ban on public gatherings by the president is to rig the 2020 elections.

“This whole announcement of emergency ban, emergency here, stopping this gathering, stopping that gathering, in my view, on the surface, it will appear to the world that the president is acting to deal with the COVID-19 and so on.
