Death of Rawlings will not Have any Positive Impact on NDC – Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu

Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Majority Leader in Parliamentary Affairs has said that the death of the former president of Ghana and founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), will not have any positive impact on the party in the upcoming general elections.

To him, it would be very hard for any political party and the public to cash in consideration votes for the NDC because of Rawlings’s demise.

Speaking on a Kumasi Based-radio station, Mr Mensah-Bonsu pointed out that when Jerry Rawlings was alive Ghanaians yet voted for the NPP thus his death will not cause any victory for the NDC as far as the election is concerned.

Jerry John Rawlings’s bereavement will not bid any triumph to the NDC and John Mahama, while after the 2008 election, the late J.J Rawlings even began distancing himself from the party.
