Winner of Season 3 of the Di Asa dance competition, Precious Mensah alias PM has expressed frustration over being denied the opportunity to have fun because she is plus-sized.
According to PM, who was unable to travel to Dubai because of her size in 2019, she has to take her own chair to parties or sit on the stairs whenever she visits the cinema.
She also expressed frustration at having to pay for two seats when she rides commercial buses.
“If people are doing things, they shouldn’t do it for only small people. Why you want plus-sized people to die or do you want us to kill ourselves?,” PM told BBC Pidgin in an interview.
According to her, she has been plus-sized since she was aged six and her weight is not as a result of food or medication.
