A section of social media users is calling on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) COP George Akufo Damapare to as a matter of necessity arrest the Ghanaian socialite, Afia Schwar for brandishing a gun on social media sometime back.
This call has intensified following the arrest and denial of bail for Ghanaian rapper Medikal for brandishing a gun on social media in the past. Medikal was arrested yesterday and is still in police custody for showcasing his gun on social media.
Since what is good for the goose is equally good for the gander, many believe Afia Schwar should also be picked up immediately by the police and subjected to the law for brandishing a gun on social media.
Per the video Afia Schwar shared, she spoke fondly about the nature of her new friend (the gun) and how dangerous it was. She went on to caution people to be careful with her since she now possessed what she described as “a new friend”.
Richard Kwame Krah in a Facebook post tagged the Ghana Police Service and urged them to arrest Afia Schwar since she also toed the line of Medikal by committing the same offence of brandishing a gun in a social media post.
Dear Ghana Police Service, this is another gun brandishing celebrity who deserves your immediate attention. I believe justice delayed is never denied. Long live Damare
