Immigration Service Intercepts Buses Carrying 202 Foreigners

The Immigration Service has intercepted buses conveying 202 foreigners at Aflao.

The Service intercepted the buses on Saturday, November 27.

The foreigners this website gathered are mostly from Niger.

Commander of the Immigration Service,for the area, Assistant Commissioner Frederick Baah Doudu, soeaking to the media said 92 foreigners were arrested by the defence intelligence of the Ghana Armed Forces and 110 by the Immigration Service.

The foreigners, we’re without were without valid travel documents. The officers escorted some of the foreigners (Nigerians) out of the country.

The MCE for the Ketu South Municipality, Maxwell Lugudor commended the officials for responding to the issue swiftly.

“I am happy the officials intercepted these people despite the challenges faced with their jobs especially those in the hinterlands and hard to reach areas but I urge them to continue with the good work and help protect the borders, ” the MCE said.
