President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has accused former president John Dramani Mahama of taking power.
According to the president, John Dramani Mahama couldn’t deliver when he was given the opportunity after leading the National Democratic Congress, but he is now parading himself as a changeman.
He urged Ghanaians not to re-elect John Dramani Mahama because there is no evidence that the National Democratic Congress flagbearer is a changeman with new ideas on how to govern properly.
He John Mahama had the opportunity but couldn’t deliver and was voted out, but now he has returned as a changed person and is seeking votes when there is no evidence that he has changed.
“We won’t allow him to come back today or tomorrow because he and the NDC cannot do it,” Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said while addressing residents of Bantama in the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
Former president John Dramani Mahama will face off against Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as flagbearers of the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party.
He made the remarks when commissioned a new library and technology hub at Ahenbronum, a suburb of Bantama on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
The edifice was built by the Member of Parliament for Bantama and Minister for Works and Housing, Francis Asenso-Boakye.
The MP says the project is named after the President for his exceptional contributions to education in the country since taking office in 2017.
It includes a well-equipped library stocked with relevant books, advanced materials, computers, and internet connectivity which will help keep users abreast of up-to-date information globally.
